Not one, but two paper butterflies in one DIY kit! The Paper Butterflies – Malachite kit includes everything to build two beautiful fluttering friends. Inspired by the tailed jay and malachite butterfly, our designer’s new techniques make it possible to mimic their enchanting wing design as close as possible.
Build the butterflies alone or together with a loved one, either way you’ll end up with an eye-catching piece of home decor you’ll proudly display. Implementing insect life into your home decoration is fun and animal friendly in this way.
The Butterflies – Malachite kit contains:
- 1 black template for the bodies
- 1 coloured template for the wings
- Adhesives
- A sheet with clear instructions
You don’t need any scissors or craft knife to assemble these paper butterflies yourself!
After assembling you can add a few dots of glue to keep your butterfly in the most perfect shape, but it is not necessary.
Use the adhesives to secure your 3D paper creation in a frame.

Butterfly facts:
Graphium agamemnon, the tailed jay, is a predominantly green and black tropical butterfly that belongs to the swallowtail family. The butterfly is also called the green-spotted triangle, tailed green jay, or green triangle. It is a common, non-threatened species native to Nepal, India and Sri Lanka, through Southeast Asia to Australia.
Siproeta stelenes, the malachite, gets its name from the mineral malachite that has the same shade of green! The malachite is found throughout Central and northern South America, where it is one of the most common butterfly species.
