You don’t need any scissors or craft knife to assemble this paper Spider yourself! After assembling you can add a few dots of glue to keep your Spider in the most perfect shape, but it is not necessary.

Spider facts:

All spiders can make a web which is their main method of catching their food. The silk of spiders looks weak, but is 5 times stronger than steel wire of comparable thickness! Male spiders love to dance to impress a female spider. However, if she is not impressed by his mating dance, he runs the risk of being attacked and eaten.

Officially a spider is not even an insect. Spiders are arachnids. Different to insects they have only two parts to the body, eight legs instead of six and six or eight eyes instead of two.┬áThe Scientific Name is Araneae. They are carnivores and eat large numbers of insects, like flies, wasps and ladybugs. Most┬áspiders live┬áabout two years, but some have been known to┬álive┬áup to 20 years when in captivity. Female┬áspiders┬átend to┬álive┬álonger than male┬áspiders. Many male┬áspiders┬áreach maturity within two years and die after mating.
