Global Spirit and Assembli join forces once again!

Last year Assembli showed their support to Dutch non-profit organization Global Spirit. In 2023 we decided to continue working together to raise awareness and donations for these beautiful volunteer projects.

About our collaboration

At Assembli we are always inspired by nature and animals and we were looking for a nature kind of project to support. The combination of projects to get your hands on, DIY and passion for flora and fauna brought us to Global Spirit! Global Spirit is creating possibilities for people to experience an unforgettable time by helping different animal projects all over the world. The volunteers don’t mind getting their hands dirty and help with the rehabilitation of their favorite animals. They offer help and support with protection of nature and wildlife and their inhabitants by doing all kinds of tasks and/or do research during their stay or internship. You can visit places that normal tourists will never go!

Our Paper Animal Trophies are made from FSC-mix paper, made sustainable and animal friendly so the link with Global Spirit is obvious and we decided to join hands!

1) Support the Penguins in South Africa

Promotion period: June – August 2023

When you think of penguins you often think of the cold and picture them around snow and ice. However there is one species of penguins that lives in warmer climates. These African penguins live off the coast and on islands in southern Africa. Due to pollution and overfishing the penguins are endangered and at high risk of becoming extinct forever.

The main goal of the project is to rescue and rehabilitate injured or sick African penguins as well as other marine birds such as gannets, cormorants and seagulls. However the purpose of the project is not just to rescue and rehabilitate, but also to inform and educate the general public through different programs.

2) Support the Tiger and African big cats

Promotion period: September – November 2023

Global Spirit offers an amazing volunteer experience at a sanctuary for lions and big cats. Here they will be protected and prospered for the rest of their lives. This sanctuary gives a home to a diversity of big cats like lions, leopards, jackals, caracals and even some non-indigenous tigers.

One of the sanctuary’s main purposes is to be an educational platform where we create awareness about conditions big cats face in captivity, and how animal welfare and enrichment play a vital role in giving them the best captive life possible. This project will offer you the unique opportunity to be involved behind the scenes of the sanctuary and how to care for its animals.
