Assembli and Global Spirit join hands in supporting animal life
At Assembli we are always inspired by nature and animals and we were looking for a nature kind of project to support.
Our customer service is always busy with someone who is missing a part of an animal head or wings of one of the 3D insects when assembling one of our DIY animal puzzles. And the missing part is what the animal needs to get the project finished and set it free. It has to be finished and free to be able to enjoy the proud result!
So the combination of something to get your hands on, DIY and passion for flora and fauna brought us to Global Spirit!
Hanneke from Global Spirit is making it possible for people to experience unforgettable time by helping with different animal projects all over the world. They like to get their hands dirty and help with the rehabilitation of their favourite animals. They offer help and support with protection of nature and wildlife and their inhabitants by doing all kinds of jobs or do research during their stay or internship. You can visit places where normal tourists never go!
We really love the idea to support these animals in rehab centres and the hard working people that support the rehabilitation projects. Our Paper Trophees are sustainable and animal friendly so the link with Global Spirit is obvious and we decided to join hands! This year we choose 4 animals that match our Assembli collection: Wolves, Dolphins / Whales, Sea Turtles and Horses and we pay attention to a different animal every 2-3 months.

Animal projects promotion
We will be paying attention and promoting the next animals and projects this year:
- Wolf at Wolves project – Portugal
- Dolphin at the dolphin and whale projects – Kroatia/ Greece / Italy
- Sea turtle at the sea turtle projects – Greece/ Costa Rica
- Horse at the horse project – South Africa and donkey project in Greece
Support Iberian Wolf – Portugal
The Global Spirit Wolves project in Portugal is giving a home to the Iberian Wolf which is a small species and only living there on the Iberian peninsula. They are threatened and the wolves centre makes sure the wolves can live in an environment that is as natural as can be with a lot of space where they can move around freely. They get fed every 2-3 days like in a natural situation. The work at the project consists of observing the animals, feeding and taking care of drinking water. Also volunteers help with maintenance of the terrain and the forest and most important of all they help protecting and keeping the species alive.

Support Dolphins in Kroatia/ Greece / Italy
The Global Spirit Dolphins project is the second project we promote. There are projects with Dolphins in Europe in Greece, Kroatia and Italy and in South-Africa if you want to go a little more exotic.

2. If you want to stay at home you can still help by buying the Paper Dolphin now. Creating the trophy is very creative journey and we are sure you will feel proud of yourself when you hang it on the wall.
We will donate 1,- per sold Paper Dolphin to the Dolphin/Whale projects within the promotion period until June 30 2022.

Sea turtle – Greece/ Costa Rica
The Global Spirit Sea turtles project is the third project we promote.

The Global Spirit Horses project is the last project we promote this year.

Results 2022 Animal project support
In 2022 a total of 6 volunteers booked a project with the Wolves in Portugal (4x) and 2 Dolphin Project. The projects were very happy with their extra hands and they received an Assembli Paper Trophy to remind them of their work and support for animals.
A total 0f 196 Assembli Paper Trophy Kits were bought during the promotion periods.
The donation of 196,- euro will go to the project with Horses in South Africa. We wish them a lot of luck and volunteers next year!
